International Day of People with Disability
December 3, 2015
Supporting inclusion, access and empowerment
Belmore Community Care is proud to
celebrate International Day of People with
Disability. As an experienced, national
provider of support services to people with
disability, the Belmore Community Care
team strives to exemplify this year's
theme: Inclusion Matters: Access and
Empowerment for People of all Abilities.
"Our dedicated Disability Support
Workers work to empower those with
disability to achieve their life goals,
dreams and aspirations through individu-
alised services," Belmore Community
Care disability support manager Deb
"A major focus of International Day of
People with Disability is on practical and
concrete actions to include disability in all
aspects of social life -- something Belmore
Community Care is proud to facilitate."
Belmore Community Care support
worker Josh Sawyer said taking client
Jake Doyle to watch the Canberra Raiders
is one of the best experiences he's ever
had as a carer.
"Watching him enjoy the highs and lows
of the game, the smiles and laughter. I love
what I do -- making a big difference in
people's lives," Mr Sawyer said.
"I love being able to go with my carer..to
cheer on the boys and having a good old
time at the footy," Jake added.
"I love the Raiders they have a strong
heart for the community."
Belmore Community Care is an experi-
enced national provider of support ser-
