The National and Old Parliament
House Rose Gardens are a hidden oasis of the
Parliamentary Zone. They were originally constructed during the Great
Roses were sponsored by rose societies, companies and Parliament House
staff for one shilling and four pence each. Built as an exclusive retreat for
Parliamentarians, the Old Parliament House Gardens have been recently
restored to their former glory for all Australians to enjoy.
View over 4000 roses of 515 varieties daily from 7am to 5pm. The Gardens
are also available for private functions.

The Lobby Restaurant and Porkbarrel café are located on the western side of
the National Rose Garden. Enjoy a meal or coffee and cake while taking in the
view of the gardens.

Parliament House, King George Terrace, Parkes
