Through the cover of night, see Floriade from a whole new perspective.
For five spectacular nights only,
NightFest will heat up Canberra
evenings with live entertainment, feature
films, music, food and wine.
From Wednesday, September 23 to
Sunday, September 27, experience a
fantastic array of activities set among
twinkling fairy lights, glowing lanterns and
spectacularly lit garden beds guaranteed to
enchant visitors of all ages.
New to NightFest, watch as the Park
Stage transforms into The Carnival Stage
and Bar featuring stand-up comedy,
acrobatics and magic from renowned artists
and comedians such as Josh Thomas,
Rebecca de Unamuno, the Great Gondos
and Nick Nickolas.
Take along your picnic basket and enjoy
a night out with your family and friends
at the outdoor cinema in the park with a
diverse selection of feature films to tempt
you. Films such as Twilight, Hairspray,
The Devil Wears Prada and Ratatouille
will be enhanced with the help of a giant
You may want to embrace Floriade's
theme of Mind, Body and Soul and chill
out at the Lotus Lounge, listening to music
from Favourite Son and Friends --- it is the
perfect venue to enjoy a cocktail or two and
gaze out at the stars.
See yourself uplifted on the new 35-
metre giant ferris wheel, where you can take
in panoramic views over the entire festival.
The wheel provides a great vantage point
for experiencing the dazzling floral designs,
and you'll be able to spot garden bed
designs of clouds, ocean waves and a giant
The night markets will offer dozens
of stalls with the best local goods and
produce on offer. Rounding out each
evening will be a massive display of
fire and music from the Pyrophone
Juggernaut --- standing 10-metres tall and
made entirely from recycled car parts, the
Pyrophone Juggernaut is set to enthral
visitors with fire performances including
fire breathing, fire skipping and fire hula.

senses and delight crowds, so grab your
