third Saturday of the month at the Southern
Cross Club, Woden at 10.30am.

THE ABBA CHOIR
The Andante Andante Choir (otherwise known as
the ABBA choir) rehearses every Monday night
(except during school holidays). New choir members
are welcome to join anytime. No previous singing
experience is required as training in vocal technique

GUNGAHLIN DAY VIEW CLUB
The Gungahlin Day View Club will hold its fi r st
meeting of 2012 on Wednesday, January 35, at
Functions@Federation, Gold Creek Village, Nichols
ACT. We meet from 11.30am for a noon luncheon
costing $30 (two courses). The Guest Speaker will
be Fiona from the Smith Family. Do join us for lunch
and informative talk about the work carried out by
the Smith Family.

DABBLERS SOCIAL CLUB
Like to make new friends? Dabblers is an
activities based group for over-40s offering
a wide variety of recreational activities for

THE OUTLOOK FESTIVAL
The launch of the new viewing platform at
Tataway Ridge. Guests have the opportunity to
enjoy free food and wine from the region and
indulge in a complimentary hot air balloon ride
from 7am. For the kids, kite flying will keep
them entertained for hours.

This ACT Porcelain Artists Exhibition will
showcase the natural beauty of finely painted
porcelain and will feature a number of our
best ACT porcelain painters. Their delicate
penwok, artistic impressions of nature and its
creatures and colourful mixed media abstracts
are all skilfully painted for you to enjoy.
The exhibition will be held at Strathnairn
Homestead Gallery, 90 Stockhill Drive, Holt
each weekend Friday to Sunday from 27th
January to 12 th February.

WESTON CREEK VIEW CLUB
Weston Creek VIEW Club will hold its fi r st
meeting of the year at 11.30am on Tuesday,
February 7. It is the annual general meeting
and we invite any ladies who are interested to
be with us for lunch, at a cost of $20 for two
courses. We meet at Woden Southern Cross
Club on the first Tuesday each month, and

HELPING MIGRANTS AND REFUGEES
Volunteers needed with the ACT AMEP Home Tutor
Scheme to help migrants to learn English in the
migrant's home. No prior teaching experience
necessary. The next training course starts on
February 9. Interesting and rewarding work.
