THUMBS DOWN to the person or persons who stole our ornamental crockery glazed pig from our
front garden in Hilder Street, Weston. If it was taken as a Christmas gift, we hope that the recipient
reads this and becomes aware that the "gift" was from a thief.
THUMBS UP to a special person. Two weeks ago my mother, aged 92, caught the bus to Calwell
shops from her home to buy some items from the supermarket. She was at the bus stop on her way
home but got on the wrong bus. She realised as the bus left the stop and asked the driver to stop and
let her off which he did.
She was walking back to the bus stop when she fell on the road.
A kind lady named Lois helped and took her home and in the afternoon came back to see if she was
OK. A special thumbs up to Lois . After a visit to the Walk-in Health Centre and X-rays on her
hand and wrist, mum is recuperating.
THUMBS UP to the elderly gentleman who saw my mum and I browsing the lumbar support braces
in Chemist Warehouse, Woden, on December 6 and kindly offered to give her one that his wife had
finished using after back surgery -- thank-you. It was a perfect fit.
We hope your wife has a speedy recovery and appreciate your kindness immensely!
THUMBS DOWN to the teenagers in a red car who threw an egg at my younger sister while she
was walking home in the rain.
She arrived home wet, sore and in tears.
It is absolutely disgusting that you would target her.
