Saturday mornings of each month at
the Canberra Southern Cross Club,

many British national days as well as
Australian ones and engage in outings

LIFE STORIES WORKSHOP
An Alzheimer's Australia ACT
Community Education workshop. Life
stories are a tool to help see the person
living with dementia as an individual
and to recognise the importance of
memories. This practical workshop
focuses on developing life stories and
ways to use them to enhance interaction
with the person with dementia. Today,

The Lantern Festival is the final event of
Chinese New Year. The site is decorated

WALKING IN CANBERRA
Joining a regular walking program
is a simple and enjoyable way of life.
During summer, Walking for Pleasure
conducts walks at: 8.30am on Sundays,
Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and
9.30am on Tuesdays. Walks are between
one and two hours long. You can choose
walks appropriate for your level of
fitness from the weekly schedule. Walks

FREE COURT TIME AT
If the Australian Open has inspired you
to get back on the court Queanbeyan
Park Tennis Club is offering a weekend
of free tennis. Players of all skill levels
are welcome to have a hit at Campbell
Street Tennis Courts on Saturday Jan 18
from 2-6 pm and Sunday 19 from 9am-
6pm. Queanbeyan Tennis club won the
Williams cup last year and are looking
for interested players to join in for this
year's regional competitions.

the club, upcoming social competitions
